Breath of Life - May 12th, 2009

As I continue to integrate greater levels of understanding of myself, life, the universe and all that is, I continue to attract that which serves me best and actually acknowledge that it serves me instead of brushing yet another insight aside in favor of condition, judgment, limitation or dogma. My recent enlightenment comes from a deeper understanding of opening to receive all that the universe has to offer. 

In my quest for balance and perfect health I had struggles with breath and breathing. I started to realize that my breath or lack of accessing air through my throat was directly associated to the degree that I was grounded. So for a while when I noticed a constriction of breath and throat, I visualized a tube of light leaving my body and connecting to earth. To the crystalline structure that is earth, to the sacred grid of life. In this process of feeling, sensing, seeing the connection, my breathing balanced out and the constriction in my throat released and relaxed allowing for even greater breath to take place. This served me well and I have gratefully used this method to release the tensions and the constrictions to aid in my breathing...releasing me from the limitations that I had accepted as a child when I was told that I had asthma. 

Today, I noticed as I ran around the house tidying this and that, getting ready for a client, that I was not breathing freely, yet instead of my usual ritual of stopping and focusing, visualizing and sensing. I shifted paradigms and realized that it was not about me sending and connecting at all. It was only a matter of opening to receive that which was already all around me. As I integrated this understanding and awareness, in the moments that it took to register in my brain...my breathing had shifted, my root center had opened and my breathing was free flowing and relaxed. It is remarkable how simple an awareness that was. Simply open to receive. As I did so...my breathing relaxed. No visualization, no "connecting" no ritual effort. Just the mere thought of opening to receive triggered the act of receiving, opening the centers of energy in my being, allowing for source energy to flow through me in it's entirety and it's perfection. 

As I continue to embrace greater aspects of awareness and understanding, I realize how much more there is to discover about all that surrounds us on all levels of existence.
